We will begin with a slow meditative Yin practice and build towards strong postures that individuals will be able to work in, towards their capability. We will end with a long Yoga Nidra session as always.
The Yin Practice will help to bring awareness and suppleness to the muscles and joints and overall balance to our energy by reducing stress and tension. Yin poses work deeply on the connective tissues (fascia). This will prepare us for the Yang Zone
The Yang section will move into a stronger dynamic practice that will improve circulation, respiration, stamina and tone and allow the breath and prana to flow through our tight blocked areas. It will involve core and postural muscles.
In Yin & Yang styles we are invited not to strain.
The Workshop will involve
Yin & Yang Breathing Practice.
Yin & Yang Postures.
Yin & Yang Internal & External Awareness.
Within the energy of Yang that is expressive, strong and outward, there is the gentle counterpose of Yin. Within the restfulness of Yin that is inward, releasing and cool, there is the focus of Yang. The combination creates balance, steadiness and sustenance. I hope you will experience the sublime feeling of being both energized and relaxed after the Workshop.
