Description
Muladhara (The Root Chakra) & Svadhisthana (Pelvic Chakra)
This practice begins the course about the Chakras.
An extended verbal introduction talking about the Central Nervous System (CNS) and how the Chakras correspond to the spinal cord, brain, peripheral nerves, nerve plexuses, endocrine glands, hormones, organs of the physical body. How they can be hyper or hypo-active and how they relate to different stages in our life from birth to death.
We practice Nadi Shodhana Pranayama (alternate nostril breathing) each session and build on your own personal. pranayama practice.
We limber while bringing attention to each of the energy centres and will do this sequence each session to remind ourselves about the qualities of each Chakra.
We focus on Muladhara (root) and Svadhisthana (pelvic) Chakra with work around the lower body, feet, legs, hips, pelvic floor and hip flexors. The aim is to build up Prana in these parts of the body and channel the energy that we have build up.
